Catapulting into the political world....!!!

POLITICS…!!! dats one field where wise n sensible ppl avoid stepping into… and illiterate rowdies enjoy plunging into… This is d state of politics in our country…!

We cal our country a democratic country… We r proud of d way we got our Independence… we salute d freedom fighters who’ve laid down their lives for our freedom.. but “are we doin justice to their martyrdom??” Is this d INDIA dat gandhiji had in mind wen he fought for independence??? A HELL NO, I would say…! The only diff is those days we used to get looted by d British… n today we’re bein looted by our own ppl… n this is very very sadddd….

The whole context of politics has become only “quest for power” and not “lead the nation”… Its only abt gainin personal assets n not abt upliftin the society… Name one high-profile politician who leads a normal life, has only one car, a small house etc.. etc..

Look at the first world countries… be it d USA, UK, France or Russia… all these countries are called developed countries… n look at d leaders they’ve got.. all of dem r well educated n have a class of their own…. Their political systems may have corruption, yet dey r well organized… This is whr we need to work on.. If India has to enter into d club of d developed countries… we need a different political system… It has to change….!!! We need good leaders…

In today’s world one such leader who can be idolized is BARRACK OBAMA.... n i've already written abt him in d previous blog....!!! He's a man who seems to possess the values of a true LEADER...

The US democracy is called the "greatest democracy n the world".. There r so many positives we can learn from their democratic system.. The way they campaign for d elections, the quality of their speeches, the standard of sportsmanship, the eleagance of the party rivalries etc...

Another point I would like to cite is the Coburn-obama transparency act.. This was an act dat was passed in the US abt 2 yrs ago.. It entitled the federal govt. to build a website thru which any American citizen could see grants and contracts provided by Federal government agencies... They could see where their money was bein spent on... This kinda transparency increases d accountability of the govt. to produce results... N an interesting detail is that this both the rival parties worked hard together to enforce this act.. This is called harmony in politics... N this is exactly wat we lack..

The rival parties can have difference of opinion, but not luk at each other as enemies...

The rival parties should learn to work together in times of distress and trauma, and dis whole blame-game n pointing fingers at one another should stop...!

The whole system is thoroughly spoilt n to have a good future for d country, we need a change…!!!

But wat do I mean by change??

I’ve come up wid a few possible measures dat cud be implemented to ensure a good political system…

1. First we need to filter the politicians on d whole.. Indian politics has become a cheap area where every Tom, Dick n Harry can just go up d ladder thru unconventional methods… it might either be by influence, or identity, or just stuffin cash into pockets… So, to stop dis d politicians shud be filtered and quality leaders should emerge… We need educated n posh politicians who can set an example to d other citizens of d country… To make dis happen, I feel we should have an examination.. Just like how there’s an aptitude test to get into any company or institution, we need an examination dat tests d candidate’s calibre, leadership and communication skills. N this examination shud hav questions on general topics dat dun have definite answers, so den thr wont be any possibility of leakin d question papers… The Election Commission can take up d responsibility of conductin these examinations.. Once a candidate passes dis exam, he wil be qualified to join any party of his choice and den go on to become a party leader…

2. The Election Commission should also conduct workshops for the party candidates.. and issues like d Model Code Of Conduct, party rivalries etc... should be addressed so that an elegant campaignin atmosphere can be set up.

3. The youth of India should take this bold step of settin the path for a developed INDIA… We need to learn n implement whatever can boost the country’s development... We need to realise that we r d citizens of tomorrow.. So if we want a bright future of the country, it is upto the youth to take the required "action steps".. Only if these steps r initiated by d youth, wil the energy behind them be so strong dat it'll last for a longer period... If an elderly leader is gonna take similar steps, d energy behind it wil die along with him... Here, im referring to the youth as the catapult... n so the this catapult is hurled into the political world, it has to cross the barriers of corruption, and finally reach its target - a neat corruption-free political world in a peaceful INDIA...!!! :) :) :)
   

So.. guysssss...!! dudes n dudettes...!!! WAKE UP....!!! The future of India is in our hands…!!!Its time to bring abt the CHANGE.....!!!!
